My speciality is working with couples in distress. I was one of the six original Master Clinicians, hand-chosen by John and Julie Gottman, at the start of the Gottman Institute.
John Gottman, PhD has said of my work that I am "{a}n extraordinarily gifted couples' therapist. I would send my own family to her in a heartbeat. I have great admiration for her abilities."
I’m excited to announce a course I teach for couples, The Mindful Love Course. It's an online couple’s workshop versed in research-based principles on what creates and sustains a harmonious relationship. The course spans 5 weeks and is offered five times a year. Couples engage in lectures, exercises, and a weekly live online Q&A session with me, all from the comfort of their own homes, and at an affordable price.
You can learn more about the course here, as well as the impact it has had on past attendees: https://nwmarriagecounseling.com/a-mindful-love-course/
My therapy approach is eclectic, drawing from sound evidence-based approaches—specifically the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy—as well as what I’ve learned throughout my 35 years of clinical practice. I offer Marathon Couples Therapy, an intensive and focused therapeutic modality for you and your partner, designed to address your specific situation.
My office is in Bellingham, WA.
