About

I have had the privilege of working with persons across the life span and problem areas for over 35 years. Because of this diversity of experiences and training I am able to navigate difficult issues with a variety of models and interventions. Additionally, my clients often report that therapy is more comfortable because of my ability to join and help them feel comfortable. Therapy begins only after a thorough assessment and a mutual understanding and agreement of issues and goals.

I am licensed in Psychology and in Marriage and Family Therapy. I take pride in working with the individual in the context of his/her family and in working with the family with respect for the importance of the unique individual in the context.

My emphasis is on Relationship Therapy using the Gottman Method. I think this model is treatment of choice in helping couples strengthen their bonds and learn the tools for managing conflict. After a four session assessment is accomplished, including computerized tests validated by research, goals are agreed upon and the couple and I join together in the path to a better marriage.

I also do pre-marital therapy, divorce therapy and extended sessions, both on week-ends and during the week for persons in crisis or those who want to jump start their work.

I appreciate your interest in my practice and I will be pleased to answer any questions you might have about my work. Please visit my website, call, or email me for further information.
