About

As a counsellor, I help people understand what they want to improve in their lives and how they can achieve this through listening to them. Counselling is tapping into peoples’ internal resources and helping them to change their life circumstances in a positive way. I don’t tell people how to be happy or what they need to change about themselves because I believe change should come from within.

I’ve had such a variety of professional and life experiences in private enterprises, service delivery, commonwealth and state government, universities, relationship counselling, as a national and state soccer coach, and raising a family, to name a few, so I have a diverse background to draw on when coaching. After spending many years working as a senior manager in different organisations, I felt that it was my time to move on and assume a role where I can give back to my community by assisting people in their own career journeys.
I like helping people because I get a lot of delight from seeing them overcome adversity and I enjoy being a part of this journey. I chose to become a counsellor because my core focus has always been discovering a greater understanding of myself and using my experience to work with others. I’ve been fortunate to have people invest time and effort into my development, which I truly value, and now I am able to reciprocate by helping others.

If you want to make a positive difference in your life, if you have doubts or are unsure what the next step in your life should be, if you’re feeling stuck in how you think about things, or if you want clarification on your goals, then you could benefit from counselling or coaching. If you believe you would value engaging with someone who is respectful and will focus on your interests, this could be an opportunity to connect with myself.
