Are you feeling stuck in your relationship, romantically disappointed or tired of arguing with your partner? If this describes you, then you may be feeling deep sadness, loneliness, anger or frustration. Relationships can really hurt at times. Whether you feel like you are losing your soul mate, your heart is dying, or you just need some guidance you may be wondering what you should do or who to talk to. If this sounds like you then I want you to know there is hope; you can get through the heartache and pain. I am here to help and I am passionate about getting couples back on track.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist working in private practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles County. I serve the communities of Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Palos Verdes Peninsula. I hold a doctorate and masters degree in clinical psychology. In my work with couples, I use The Gottman Method, a research based approach. The Gottman Method focuses on seven positive principles that strengthen and enhance relationships. My work is also informed by Attachment Theory, which helps couples form deeper and more enduring emotional bonds. I have found that The Gottman Method and Attachment Theory work well together in helping couples create stronger emotional connection, greater intimacy and provide proven strategies that work.
Besides specializing in couples therapy, I have expertise working with women struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship issues and life transitions. I am also the author of "Beautifully Gifted," a book about empowering women in their gifts, talents and calling. To find out more about my work, please visit my website: www.DrAngelaSouthBay.com.
