I am a national board certified mental health counselor committed to helping individuals, couples, and families learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves, others, and the world.
As a psychodynamic therapist, my work focuses on addressing the root pathology for behavioral transformation. My approach is centered around hearing my clients' stories and taking a collaborative approach to help them reach their goals. As a certified therapist in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), I specialize in trauma and also like to integrate other approaches, such as IFS (Internal Family Systems) and narrative therapy, based on clients' needs. I bring my experience as a trauma specialist as a backdrop to the Gottman Method to effectively address both the external symptoms in couples' relationships as well as the originating cause of conflict.
In addition to being a clinician, I am passionate about teaching and supervising counselors-in-training as an adjunct instructor in the Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness MA program at New York University.
