I remember that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing. I believe that working from a warm, empathetic place helps me to foster a safe and nonjudgmental space, where clients can tell their story, gain insight into how that story has impacted them, and move together towards the direction of healing and achieving more fulfilling, peaceful life.
QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING
In 2013 I completed a five years Master Degree in Psychology in University in Wroclaw in Poland. Shortly after I moved to Dublin and started working as the fully qualified Psychologist and Couple Therapist. I have been a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland since 2013
It was always my priority to grow as a professional, so I have been continually attending trainings and workshops in Bereavement & Loss, Working with Trauma, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness. I have completed a first level coaching training from the Center of Education CEL in Wroclaw. And certified in Couples Counselling (PCI) and Family Therapy (IICP). I am Certified Gottman Method Therapist I’m currently working on my full Certification in Somatic Experiencing Method.
After having experience and privilege to meet with a variety of clients I know that no single approach is right for every person. So I have been training and practicing a range of modalities including Systemic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, CBT & DBT. And most recently I am discovering that trauma oriented practice is so relevant for many clients I work with. So I have been including elements of Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory and NARM approach.
Since 2017 I have been providing marriage preparation courses and lectures. With my colleague Karolina, we created an evidence-based, secular Marriage Preparation Course for couples looking for an alternative or addition to available religious courses.
