Dr. April Brown is a Licensed Mental Health Christian Counselor, Certified School Counselor, Certified Relationship and AASECT Sex Therapist, Board Certified TeleMental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor. She is licensed in Florida, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin has a thriving private practice where she specializes in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, emotionally support animals, and distance counseling. Dr. April holds a Masters and a Specialist degree in Counseling and Human Systems and a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology.

Since 1997, Dr. April has been in the counseling field. She has a very diverse background in counseling children, teens, adults, couples, and families from various cultures and backgrounds. She has counseled, taught, and facilitated groups, workshops, courses, and presentations. Dr. April has worked in community centers, public schools, universities, businesses and private practice. Plus, she has supervised many school and mental health counseling interns.

Dr. April believes that intimately connecting with ourselves, others, and our Higher Power can eliminate the conflicts, anxiety, and depression in our lives so that we can be empowered to know and live a purposeful life. Over the past twenty years, she has effectively empowered thousands of individuals, couples, and families to break down the barriers that causes fear so that they can embrace true intimacy in their lives. Dr. April’s mission is to increase intimacy for all.

In 2018, Dr. April started hosting her own LIVE Show/Podcast call “Bringing Intimacy Back” where she and other intimacy experts will provide resources and tips on increasing intimacy in all types of relationships.

In the last 2 years, she has released her 7 book series Amazon called Improving Intimacy.

Besides counseling, she provides Intense Couples Counseling Retreats called Vacation Counseling in Florida, Costa Rica, & Jamaica
