About
Hi, I’m Ashley Paculba, a Gottman training level 1 and level 2 trained LMFT who helps couples stop having the same fight about the dishes (spoiler: it’s never really about the dishes). I work with couples who love each other but are tired, stuck, or wondering how they got here. Whether you’re newly together, decades in, or recovering from a rough patch, I’ll help you get back to liking each other, not just tolerating each other.
I use the Gottman Method, built on over 40 years of research on what makes relationships thrive and what makes them fall apart. Dr. Gottman studied thousands of couples, so you don’t have to guess what works. Science already did the homework.
We’ll start with a relationship check-up (think X-ray, minus the lead apron) to see what’s working and where you’re stuck. From there, you’ll learn how to argue without it turning into World War III, how to repair after a fight, and how to actually hear each other, even when one of you is “just saying.” We’ll also rebuild the friendship, fondness, and fun that got you together in the first place, and create shared goals so you’re building a life together, not just running a household.
My style is warm, direct, and yes, funny. Therapy is real work, but it doesn’t have to be grim. Sometimes laughing together is the first sign things are turning around.
And let’s be honest: couples therapy costs money. So does divorce, plus the lawyers, two households, and splitting custody of the dog. Think of this as the budget-friendly option.
