I am on numerous insurance panels and Employee Assistance Programs. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to determine if I am in your insurance network.
I have been focusing on working with couples and people who are struggling with relationships for a number of years. I find this work very rewarding because we now have the research base to better understand the complexity of intimate relationships and how to help when things go wrong. While my compassion for and enjoyment of people makes me warm and accessible, I have also developed a strong skill set for working with couples by utilizing Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I enjoy getting to know my clients and how their past and present relationship experiences have contributed to where they are today. After having an understanding of both the strengths and problem areas in a relationship, I work together with my clients to develop a plan to address their concerns. I know how hard it can be to struggle with relationship problems, and I create a safe place for my clients and treat them with respect and understanding.
Often, what gets in the way of relationships can be when a person is experiencing anxiety or depression, PTSD, anger management or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder among other things. I can help with these as well. My theoretical orientation is with both Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic methods.
I work with couples, partners, and people who are struggling with anxiety/depression, sexual abuse, anger management, stress, grief/loss and adoption. I also help couples transitioning through separation, divorce, or post divorce.
