I am passionate about helping couples discover (or rediscover) how to have a satisfying, thriving relationship. I have found in my own marriage that the Gottman Method is a fantastic way to implement simple, effective tools to achieve these goals. I have also seen this scientifically proven method help countless couples who'd lost hope of ever recovering the friendship and love they once knew.

I have been a licensed minister since 1994 and served in full-time ministry for 17 years. Having spent 10 of those years as a missionary in Germany, I am familiar with many of the challenges associated with living in a foreign culture, learning a second language, and feeling "other than". While in Germany, we founded a retreat center to care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of missionaries. After leading this ministry for 5 years, we returned to Waco, Texas where I gain my masters degree and started Lighthouse Family Counseling.

I completed a Masters of Art in Marriage and Family Christian Counseling at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2011, and a BBA (Entrepreneurship/Marketing) from Baylor University in 1994. I have been married for 22 years and have four sons and two daughters ranging in ages from 11 to 21 years old. When not counseling I enjoy playing sports, exploring the great outdoors, and spending quality time with my family.
