Calin-Alexandru Hopsitar is a clinical psychologist and a CBT certified therapist, as well as a British Psychological Society member. His experience consists of over 500 hours of therapy in private practice and other institutions in Romania. One of his main goals is to mantain a bond between practice and research, so one activity that he is particularly keen on is research, him being a research assistant in the Developmental Psychology Lab, Babes-Bolyai University. He works with a wide range of population, from young children, to adults. One important step further in his practice was The Gottman Institute Trainning in Couples Therapy; he went through the Level 3 Trainning, now applying for the certification as Gottman certified therapist. He sees therapy as a mean to impact in a good way the community and also the society and one of his core beliefs is that psychologists and the field of psychology needs and has to be more active in the public platform; being more and more part of an interdisciplinary field, the psychologist has to walk easy through various fields, from philosophy, to literature, to neuroscience, biology and also arts and the power of adapting oneself to the person you are interacting with comes from a strong and wide culture.
The knowledge that exists in the psychological domain has to be managed in order to allow it to filter in as many people's life as possible for them to know that there might be a solution, which often can be a reason for hope, something that we are in terrible need nowdays.
