Carol A. McKissick is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), practicing under Dr. Gina Santoro. Carol passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and has attained Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Counseling. Her experience includes adult individual and group counseling in grief, depression, addiction, anxiety, anger management, marital, family and workplace conflict. Before graduating with her degree in Applied Psychology, Carol worked in scientific research as a microbiologist and went on to earn her MBA when new leadership opportunities arose at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has worked for the University for 28 years, most recently supporting her colleagues by working part time at the Employee Assistance Program. Carol is theoretically a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral existentialist.
