She obtained a second Master’s Degree in 2006 from California State University, Fresno in the area of Marriage and Family Therapy. She practiced at Link Care Counseling Center in Fresno, California from 2005-18; and is opening a Private Practice in San Luis Obispo, California in February of 2020. By dedicating herself to applying the advanced training as a Certified Gottman Therapist; Carol is known to provide a detailed assessment of the couple’s relationship connection. This gives insight into the couple’s positive friendship attributes, challenging stuck areas, styles of communication, conflict resolution skills, individual's desires, and the couple's shared meaning. In an early session these assessment results are reviewed with the couple and agreed upon goals are set. The interventions utilized in session assist the couple in exploring new dialogues. Many times a handout is provided so the couple can build on the foundation skills outside of session.
Carol’s first Master’s Degree is in Education and she incorporated this professional experience at University of Phoenix - Fresno, California Campus as the Lead Faculty Area Chair in the Masters of Counseling Department (2013-14).
