My approach to therapy is mainly psychodynamic. I utilize the Gottman Method, which is backed up by more than 30 years of research on what makes committed long-term relationships work, and focuses on strengths and concrete tools to help a couple create a relationship that is long-lasting and with effective tools to navigate conflict and life stress.
My goal is to help you recognize, understand and have compassion for how you may have developed less-than-ideal ways of dealing specific areas of your life. In addition, you will learn about tools, how to use them and more importantly – how to recognize when to use them. In other words, my goal is to help you develop self-awareness and to have the tools needed to make healthy choices and decisions in your life and in your relationship.
