Falling in love is often an effortless and exciting journey. Nobody ever plans to fall out of love. But staying in love requires consistent effort, communication, and understanding. It involves navigating the complexities of daily life, addressing conflicts, and growing both individually and as a couple. While the initial spark may fade, it can be replaced by a deeper, more resilient connection if nurtured properly.

As a couples therapist, trained in the Gottman Method, I take a hands on, directive approach; while I will provide education and guide the discussion, the goal is always for you to talk to your partner more than your therapist.

When you come for your first appointment, you'll have the opportunity to share the history of the relationship and explore the current relationship dynamics. I will ask additional questions to help me gain a more comprehensive understanding of your unique situation and needs. Then, I will schedule to meet with each of you individually; these sessions provide a unique opportunity to freely express personal feelings, needs, and concerns without being in the presence of the other partner. Following the individual sessions, therapy will resume with both partners. I work you as a couple to identify your primary strengths, challenges, and relationship goals. Drawing on evidence-based strategies, I introduce effective tools and techniques tailored to your relationship dynamics. My goal is to help each partner master the tools and be able to apply them outside of session.
