Are you seeking to improve communication and connection with your partner?
People grow, change, and heal, within the context of relationships. I am dedicated to providing you exceptional care by implementing effective evidence-based treatment that helps you live a happier and healthier life.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my training and professional experience has shown me that humans are wired for emotional connection, and that connection makes us stronger. Feeling disconnected from your partner can be a distressing, painful experience. Healing together can be very powerful. I want to work with you and your partner to explore how the two of you can increase your connection and discover new ways of being together.
We’re all doing the best we can with the relationship tools we currently have. Some of those tools may not be helpful; our parents weren’t good role models, or our perceptions and judgments are flawed, or our beliefs don’t serve our interests. This can lead to feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. What you want is relief from suffering, and strength to overcome challenges. I am here to provide a safe environment to say the hard things and hear your needs while discussing delicate situations.
We must remember that there is truth in conflict. It lets us know that something needs to change. if we are all to get our needs met and it can lead to more harmonious lives. But only if we choose to see it that way and work together. At its best, it can bring people closer.
I enjoy working with people who want to improve their communication, connection, and friendship. I am both compassionate and direct, lighthearted and thoughtful, and I focus on helping you interrupt unhelpful patterns of interacting and build up on existing strengths. Important relationships take many forms and I welcome the complexity and diversity of human relationships.
After every appointment I want you to feel hope, acceptance, and that everything is going to work out.
