Deborah is an experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist who specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to individual adults and couples.
She holds an Honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy along with specialist training in Couples Therapy and is a registered Clinical Member of PACFA - the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia.
Deborah is a warm, skilled therapist with over 16 years’ experience. She provides a safe, collaborative and nonjudgmental environment that helps her clients feel comfortable about opening up and exploring their concerns. She respects the diverse life experience of each person, and tailors counselling to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals. She is passionate about empowering people to make genuine and long-lasting positive change in their lives.
Deborah uses an integrative, client-centred approach along with a number of evidence-based techniques in her work, including: Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy (both of which are especially effective with couples), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy.
Deborah has a special interest and expertise in working with Relationship Issues with both individuals and couples as well as Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Grief, Chronic Health Issues, Women's Health and Life Transitions.
