About
Making the decision to begin couples therapy is the first step to making lasting change to your relationship. I have over 20 years experience working with families and couples. I first became interested in the Gottman Method 15 years ago when I was searching for an effective way to work with couples. At that time, I read all the books I could find and incorporated the research and exercises into my work with couples. I have now completed the Level 3 training and am delighted to have the in-depth training and understanding of the Gottman Method. I have also completed the Gottman Method for Treating Trauma and Affairs as well as The 7 Principles for Making a Marriage Work certification training. I was drawn to the Gottman Method because of it's solid research and because it is easily understood and adapted into couples relationship.
I have a gentle direct approach and often use humor with the couples I see. I provide a warm, accepting environment in which people are supported to be their best selves.
I also have advanced training in clinical hypnosis and emotionally focused couples therapy. I work extensively with people experiencing anxiety and depression.
Special populations
I help couples recovering from betrayal and affairs, premarital therapy, anxiety and depression.
