I have been working in the field of psychology for over 25 years and have been in private practice and working with couples for over 15 years. I have completed the Level 3 Gottman Couples Therapy training, and am currently working towards certification. I am also certified as an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and Supervisor which is also a world-renowned, research-based approach.
I work with couples at any stage of a relationship, whether you are newly together and trying to figure out whether to commit to each other, you are going through a major transition in your relationship (e.g., getting married, having children, becoming empty nesters), you are going through a crisis (e.g., discovery of an affair, talking about separation, etc.) or you have been together for years and just want more connection and passion in your relationship.
Using the Gottman Method, as well as my extensive training and experience working with couples and individuals, we work together as a team to help you communicate better with each other, increase your connection and intimacy, and support each other more, as well as to help you recover from painful events in your relationship or make important decisions in your relationship when those are relevant. I focus on both increasing your positive interactions, as well as helping you resolve conflicts more effectively.
In addition to my work with couples, I also specialize in grief and loss, coping with medical illness, women’s health and infertility, dealing with life transitions and parenting issues.
I have two conveniently located offices in Bryn Mawr, PA (suburb just outside of Philadelphia) and in Center City Philadelphia. Both of my offices are close to major routes and public transportation.
Feel free to visit my website (www.drdinaharth.com) for more information about me and my practice. Or call me with any questions or to schedule an initial appointment: 610-526-0755. I look forward to hearing from you.
