About

Hey! My name is Dominique and I specialize in helping individuals and couples moving through grief and loss connected to a miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and/or a child loss. I also have supported couples moving through the many conversations that come along with family planning and IVF. Outside of grief and loss, I also enjoy pre-martial work and supporting mamas moving through their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.

Grief and loss is unique for every one, but when you experience an out of order loss, whether sudden or not, it is incredibly traumatic for both partners. I wish I had all the answers, but I don’t. I hold a fancy degree which took me a long time to get, I have taken many trainings about grief and loss, and I’ve held some related job in my field before moving to private practice. But even while doing this work and having all my education, nothing prepared me for the grief I experienced after losing my baby while I was 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant and that is because at the end of day, we are just all humans.

So with that, I actually promise you that I won’t pretend to know all the answers or tell you useless platitudes like “everything happens for a reason”, because everything actually doesn’t happen for a reason and experiencing the loss you are experiencing right now (for a lack of a better word) really sucks and I’m here. So, instead I will try to hold space so that you can talk through your story along with your thoughts and feelings in a way that you can hopefully feel supported, heard and validated and if you would like, I can throw in some education and thoughts along the way.

My hope is that while working together, you and your partner can come to a place of better understanding, love and connection so you two, TOGETHER, can step forward in whatever direction you hope to go next. I greatly enjoy helping couples identify their strengths and find ways to work on their vulnerabilities while still maintaining a sense of hope.
