Hello, I’m Don Allen. I have been in private practice since1995. I have a Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York City and an MSW from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. I am published in Juvenile crime. In addition to a specialty in children and adolescence, I have completed the level III practicum training in Gottman method couple’s therapy and utilize this modality in my work. I also am trained in EMDR and find this modality very helpful when trauma is present in marriages and families. I have been a full time professor (level IV) at Ohio University, and an adjunct professor at Columbia University, The Ohio State University, and Ashland University.
