Human beings have always fascinated me. How we relate, how we problem-solve, and how we cope. I see people as having incredible strength and admirable fortitude along with genuine vulnerabilities. My primary work with clients is to help them find and connect with themselves and with others, by increasing personal insight and gaining greater control over their thoughts and emotions. I am trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy. I help teens and adults overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship problems (family, friends, partners). I also help clients through grief, loss, and separataion.
For couples, I specialize in the Gottman (Level 3, certification track) method which is supported by 35 years of couples research on thousands of couples. It is a scientifically supported structured approach designed to help couples reconnect and establish constructive tools for dialogue and common ground, while respecting each person’s individuality.
I tailor my therapeutic approach to the client’s needs. I offer honest and genuine care with insightful questions intended to help you find the answers to what is troubling you. During therapy, I strive to create a caring and inviting atmosphere with an open heart and mind, to guide my clients towards greater insight and happiness.
