About

About
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience. The majority of my career has been in private practice, where I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. In addition, I have also worked in universities and across inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.

I am passionate about breaking down the stigma around mental health and empowering individuals to create lives that are meaningful and aligned with their values. One of my core personal and professional values is lifelong learning. I find deep fulfillment in supporting clients on their therapeutic journeys—helping them gain self-awareness, develop new skills, and transform their lives. Over the past decade, I have refined my expertise in trauma-informed practice, neurodiversity-affirming care, anxiety and mood disorders, and relationship therapy. My therapeutic approach integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

I have lived in Bosnia and Malaysia, where I also had the opportunity to work, and these experiences, combined with my own ethnic heritage, have deeply shaped my approach to cultural awareness and sensitivity in psychology. Living and working in diverse cultural contexts has given me firsthand insight into the ways cultural identity, migration, and community influence mental health and well-being. This has fostered a strong passion for working in the cultural space, ensuring that my practice is inclusive, responsive, and respectful of each individual's unique background. I am committed to integrating cultural humility into both my clinical work and supervision, encouraging a nuanced understanding of how cultural factors intersect with mental health, therapeutic engagement, and client outcomes.
