About
Hello — I'm Ehsan Shabahang, M.S., NCC, LPC, LCMHC, LMHC, and I devote my professional life to guiding couples toward stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts I hold a Gottman Level 2 certification and integrate relational science with clinical tools to support couples through conflict, infidelity, distance, emotional disconnection, and everyday friction.
If you're here, you might be looking for guidance in your relationship, and I want you to know that you're in the right place.
In 2023, I earned my certification as a Gottman Couples Therapist, using Gottman's groundbreaking, research-based approach to help couples foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships backed by extensive studies involving thousands of couples.
My approach is grounded in:
The Gottman Method — A research-driven framework for building friendship, managing conflict, and creating shared meaning.
CBT & DBT techniques — Targeted practices to shift negative interaction patterns, regulate emotions, and build resilience.
Mindful awareness & self-reflection — Tools to help each partner slow down, tune in, and respond rather than react.
Sex therapy and intimacy work — Addressing sexual concerns, mismatched desire, and emotional vulnerability in relational context.
I believe couples often benefit most when problems are addressed early — before resentment, distance, or repetitive cycles become chronic.
I especially enjoy partnering with couples who want to proactively strengthen their bond, resolve recurring conflicts, or recover after a breach in trust.
I offer secure online video sessions, with flexible scheduling to accommodate you.
When you reach out, we'll begin with a session to clarify goals, identity stuck patterns, and co-create a path forward. If you're ready to invest in your connection, I'd be honored to accompany you.
"Healthy relationships aren't free of conflict, they're built on how we repair and reconnect after it."
