About
Hi, my name is Eliane. I love being a therapist and to have the privilege and unique ability to help others in their quest. I believe is that therapy exists to help us gain awareness to create change. My mission is to bring out awareness, foster acceptance and understanding, to create change and personal growth within you.
I see myself as a partner in this process and you can expect to be asked questions, share feelings and be open to make the changes you desire. The relationship with the therapist should feel safe, comfortable and trusting. I will give you regular feedback, so you can assess your progress and ask for feedback.
I use a multidisciplinary approach, to be able to adapt to your unique needs. My treatment approach involves a thorough assessment and based on the results a treatment plan and approach will be developed, taking all your issues in consideration.
Being a military spouse and having a diverse background (born in Brazil and lived in several places in the US and abroad) has given me the opportunity to work and connect with a all kinds of people. I am fluent in German, Portuguese and Spanish.
I have a master’s degree in counseling, from Johns Hopkins University. I am licensed as a counselor in Maryland, Texas and Florida. Additionally, I am a certified Employee Assistance Provider, a TeleMental Health Provider and I have a PhD in Behavioral Health.
