I enjoy working with clients affected by neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD) and am trained in the specific ways that these relationship systems differ.
Many times clients want to know my "style" of therapy- and while I am always working within the parameters of the models in which I am trained, I also do my very best to be relatable, down-to-earth, and human in my sessions. I allow and even appreciate free expression of emotion (including curse words!- my clients have no reason to worry about offending me- I always say that with 24 years doing this, I've heard most things.) About me: I was raised in Southeastern Ohio , in the foothills of Appalachia near both Pittsburgh, PA and the WV panhandle. I 'm a huge animal lover- especially dogs- and I have three of them- and on occasion you may experience a photo-bomb.
I am an ally to all social justice issues including LGBTQIA rights, Women's Issues (including reproductive rights),and BIPOC issues. It is my ongoing journey to assure that my clients find themselves supported.
I am non-religious, and am a good fit for clients who are recovering from religious trauma or find themselves questioning spirituality. No judgement or pressure from me!
