About
I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of Toledo and have been in practice for about 4 years. I completed levels 1 & 2 Gottman training and approach couples work through that lens, focusing on friendship between the couple as a foundation and then building with tools for managing conflict. I also like to integrate creative modalities like art, animal (my therapy dog Teddy joins me in sessions) and nature therapy where appropriate. I have a trauma informed background and am trained in Brainspotting, so I integrate somatic work as appropriate as well. In my masters program, I was selected as an NBCC Minority Addictions Fellow and completed additional training in the field of addictions and recovery with a focus on experiential treatments. In addition to my work with couples, I serve individuals and specialize in addiction, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety and depression.
It is my honor to serve couples in their journeys to heal and strengthen connection and partnership. I always offer a free 15 minute initial phone consult to help clients feel comfortable and assess therapeutic fit. Please reach out to schedule - I'd love to get to know you.
