When relationships begin, we often feel alive and full of hope. When we find ourselves arguing constantly with the person we love, it’s stressful and destabilizing. We don’t have to fall into the same pattern over and over again. I help couples to become more aware of their patterns and to show up to these moments differently, more effectively. When we are able to feel safe and there is relative peace in our relationship, we are empowered to accomplish our goals as a couple and an individual.
Calling on my Gottman method training, I help couples learn evidence-based strategies for increasing relationship satisfaction. For the last five years I have been focused on helping individuals and couples have healthier relationships, calling on a variety of theories and interventions.
I have experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (which combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (trauma treatment). I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and enjoy helping couples navigate the transition to parenthood.
I offer counseling services remotely to New York residents. I am in-network with Blue Cross and Independent Health insurances.
