About
I work primarily with Law Enforcement, First Responder, and Military affiliated individuals and couples, and my office reflects that. I do offer couples therapy and marathon sessions to anyone, and have experience working with people in many different high-stress jobs such as physicians, lawyers, pilots, and high level executives.
I have a passion for helping people navigate relationship difficulties. The couples I work with often have additional stress and trauma that make those relationship struggles that much harder to deal with. As the wife of a law enforcement officer and veteran, I have firsthand experience of some of the unique obstacles couples in high-stress occupations can run into, and combined with the research-backed approach of the Gottman method, I am confident I can help people improve their relationships.
I have completed additional training through the Gottman Institute, including Treating Affairs and Trauma and Couples and Addiction Recovery.
I specialize in marathon couples sessions, which are extended sessions that allow couples to dive deeper into issues and gain ground more quickly than traditional couples therapy. I am also a 7 Principles For Making Marriage Work workshop leader.
When working with me, you can expect a direct, yet compassionate approach to therapy. You can also expect a big dollop of humor (and possibly a cuss word or two).
I am currently on the certification track with the Gottman Institute.
