About

What makes me different? My method is unlike most therapists, as I utilize a thorough intake process, called the Gottman assessment model. This model implements several evidence-based assessment tools that will provide me with valuable information about your relationship right from the very beginning of our time together. Sessions with me are not for re-hashing fights aimlessly. I use Emotion Focused Therapy as a framework as well, so we will be treating the foundation of the connection issues, not simply staying at the surface.

After assessing your relationship, I will share personalized feedback about your relationship’s strengths and growth areas. I will also discuss with you and your partner my ideas and plans for our work together, including collaborating with you on what the goals of our work together should be. You and your partner will know exactly what we’re working on and why. Our sessions will be tailored to what your relationship needs most right now, and I’ll have tools and resources leading you toward your end goals.

You’ll be learning about your relationship during the session, and will leave sessions with specific tools to practice between meetings so that your progress is continual.

I keep a thoughtful caseload that allows me to give by best to each couple that I work with. I am incredibly passionate about relationships and find it very satisfying to help couples get to a better place and start loving their relationship again. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling (Marital, Family & Couple emphasis) from Idaho State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Idaho and National Certified Counselor (NCC).
