About

I enjoy working with couples who are ready to increase their communication skills and address complex and perhaps longstanding issues. Couples may have experienced infidelity, or other traumatic events, and need help reconnecting and healing. I also work with premarital couples just beginning their journey together. I am a certified “Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work” workshop leader and have run workshops for couples looking to strengthen their relationships. Additionally, I have training as a Gottman Educator for the Bringing Baby Home program helping couples make the transition to parenthood. I welcome the opportunity to help individuals and couples navigate life's transitions and complexities.

A Former Client Shares:
“We know we still have more work to do, but you’ve helped us get to a much more stable place in our marriage. I personally have appreciated your ability to keep us focused on our goals and the effort you made to keep us engaged in the process. We were able to make it much further this time thanks to you!”
~LL, Ijamsville, MD

Another Former Client Shares:
“You have helped me tremendously over the years with guidance and support through very challenging situations, and I cannot thank you enough!”
~JH, Columbia, MD

A Colleague Shares:
“Gabe is one of the first people I think of when someone is seeking a recommendation for a skilled and experienced couples therapist. He is kind, compassionate and generous of spirit, and I value the wisdom he shares in his monthly Gottman consultation group, which is a place clinicians of all stages in their career come together to support each other in navigating challenging cases, as well as general professional development.”
~Melinda McGarvey, LICSW, private practice therapist
