About

I am Dr. Georgia Harrison, DSW, LCSW, an EMDR Certified therapist and Gottman Level 2 trained clinician specializing in helping individuals and couples heal from trauma, navigate relationship challenges, and create lasting change.

My practice focuses on couples experiencing conflict, emotional disconnection, betrayal, infidelity, communication difficulties, attachment wounds, and the impact of trauma on relationships. I work with high-achieving professionals, military members, veterans, first responders, and couples seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and one another.

I believe many relationship struggles are not simply communication problems, but are rooted in nervous system activation, unresolved trauma, attachment injuries, and protective patterns that develop over time. My approach integrates Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EMDR, somatic interventions, and trauma-informed care to help clients move beyond recurring cycles of conflict and toward greater safety, trust, intimacy, and connection.

In addition to traditional therapy, I offer extended sessions and intensive formats for individuals and couples seeking a more focused and accelerated approach to healing. These services are designed for clients who want to make meaningful progress in a shorter period of time and may be especially helpful for those navigating betrayal trauma, high-conflict relationship patterns, or significant life transitions.

My goal is to create a supportive, structured, and collaborative environment where clients can better connect to themselves, strengthen their relationships, and build the skills necessary for long-term growth and resilience.

I provide telehealth services for clients in Washington DC, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Tennessee. Limited in-person intensive sessions are available in Chattanooga, Tennessee by request.
