About
Are you and your partner struggling in your relationship together but alone? Are you having the same old argument and conflict over and over again with no resolution and changes? Are you both fed up of feeling invisible, unheard, taken for granted, and under-appreciated? Are you exploring ENM or polyamoury? The Gottman method provides a framework for addressing these concerns, reducing the intensity of these concerns, and in many cases, providing resolution.
Couples will often be hesitant to come for therapy - we should be able to fix this on our own, the therapist will take sides, there is no hope, we will be judged. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive space where both perspectives are heard, valued, and processed in sessions. My role as a therapist is not to find fault with one partner, but to find ways to work together using Gottman tools to move forward together. My role as a therapist is not to determine who is right/wrong, but how to respond to the other to deepen mutual understanding, rediscovering and enhancing safety and connection.
