Being in a relationship takes work and commitment. Even the strongest of relationships encounter conflict from time to time. Often conflict in a couple is the result of one or both partners' uncommunicated needs. Couples counseling can provide a safe space in which partners can explore relationship stuck points, improve communication skills, and bring mindfulness to the strengths of the relationship. One of the many strengths of the Gottman Method is its strong foundation in research and evidenced based practices. Many couples who have engaged in other styles of therapy site an appreciation for the degree of structure that this method lends to the therapeutic process.

As much of the success in therapy can be attributed to the goodness of fit between therapist and client, it is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and the style of therapy they practice. To that end, I would invite you to call for a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine whether my approach to therapy may be a good fit for your needs.

My office is conveniently located in central Honolulu and I offer flexible scheduling, including night and weekend appointments. I accept most insurance plans and I make every effort to accommodate the uninsured as well.

I invite you to visit my website at AdultAndChildPsychologist.com to learn more about my practice.
