About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in CO, and additionally licensed in MN and AZ, offering intensive couples therapy in-person and via secure telehealth. I specialize in working with couples who need a senior provider for timely and focused work to improve communication, heal from relationship injuries, and deepen emotional and sexual intimacy.

My interest in what makes relationships happy across time began 30 years ago in graduate school where John Gottman, PhD. was instrumental in my research studying marital satisfaction. I assumed at that time that I would graduate and go into practice seeing couples but I got married and quickly realized that being married was very different from knowing about marriage. It took me several years of my own lived experience to feel ready to expand my practice to include couples therapy. I trained directly with Drs. John and Julie Gottman, and for the past decade, I have worked almost exclusively with couples—supporting over 300 partnerships in everything from pre-commitment therapy to navigating the transition to parenthood or recovering from betrayal.

I am a Certified Gottman Therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, bringing a research-based and integrative approach to the work of relationship transformation. My practice is particularly well-suited for busy professionals who don’t have time for weekly therapy, couples seeking additional privacy by working with an out-of-state provider, people in need of condensed therapy because they are in an acute crisis, and those giving therapy one last, hopeful try.

I offer customized intensive therapy sessions and couples retreats designed to create meaningful progress in a condensed timeframe—ideal for those committed to personal growth and co-creating a new relationship dynamic.
