Our lives are filled with small and large challenges that we learn to navigate daily. But what happens when you get stuck? When there is difficulty finding ways of handling issues on your own? Challenges can be viewed negatively but they can also be used as a positive tool for change and can lead to a stronger relationship with the right support. Hilary encourages her clients to increase their resilience by developing the skills to grow whether individually, as a couple, or in a family system. Hilary believes that stress, conflict, and loss are opportunities to develop the skills needed to successfully travel through life.

Hilary has over 20 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Hilary is a Certified Gottman Therapist and is pursuing certification in Grief Movement and facilitating Therapeutic Tabletop Role Playing Games. She also focuses on continued training in the areas of couples counseling, trauma, anxiety, and grief.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Hilary works individuals, couples, and families. When working with a system, whether a couple or a family the relationship itself becomes the client. As a Certified Gottman Therapist Hilary brings a unique perspective to counseling. While every individual has unique needs and desires, the Gottman Method is based of decades of research studying relationships and the factors that are most likely to increase the longevity of a relationship. The tools and information incorporated in the Gottman Method help couples to increase, respect, affection and understanding. As a Marriage and Family Therapist she uses the training in the Gottman Method to help clients develop the skills and tools to improve their relationships at home and in their communities.
When she is not at the clinic, Hilary can be found adventuring with her family, painting, gardening, or reading books. She is always looking for new skills to master, the results of which can often be found in her office.
