About

Our lives are filled with small and large challenges that we learn to navigate daily. But what happens when you get stuck? When there is difficulty finding ways of handling issues on your own?

I believe that stress, conflict, and loss are opportunities to develop the skills needed to successfully travel through life. Challenges can be considered negative but they also an opportunity for change leading to a stronger relationships. I encourage my clients to increase their resilience by developing the skills to grow individually, as a couple, or in their family systems.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I work with individuals, couples, and families. When working with a system, whether a couple or a family the relationship itself becomes the client. As a Certified Gottman Therapist I bring a unique perspective to counseling. While every individual has unique needs and desires, the Gottman Method is based on decades of research studying relationships and the factors that are most likely to increase the longevity of a relationship. The tools and information incorporated in the Gottman Method help couples to increase, respect, affection and understanding. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I utilize the training in the Gottman Method to help clients develop the skills and tools to improve their relationships at home and in their communities.

I have over 20 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist with a dual license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy and well as being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I believe that as individuals we should always pursue growth and my training reflects my continuing path to increase my professional knowledge.

When I am is not at the clinic, I can be found adventuring with my family, painting, gardening, or reading books. I am is always looking for new skills to master, the results of which can often be found in my office.
