I provide Level 3 Gottman Couples Therapy. I am trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy, EFT, TFT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and mind-body-spirit techniques. My counseling approach emphasizes understanding the individual while teaching skills and techniques where needed. I am existentially grounded and believe patients have the ability to expand their self-awareness and thus increase their choice potentials, meaning and purpose in life to discover one’s own uniqueness. I appreciate my patient’s total personality and work to help free them to develop a constructive and confident image of self-worth. I help patients find the courage to persist over adversity and shape their own future, taking responsibility and redefining self through healthy choices.

My approach to mental health counseling focuses on understanding the individual and couple dynamics. I often help my patients to understand the value of anxiety and guilt, the role of death, the relationship between freedom and responsibility, creating unique meaning, and the creative aspect of being alone. Creating a healthy and strong foundation for living and in the couples relationship are hallmarks to a more fulfilled life. Counseling techniques may include cognitive behavioral, Gottman Couples Counseling, Gestalt, hypnotherapy, EMDR, TFT, EFT, healing the inner child, and mind-body-spirit.
