I utilize the Gottman approach for couples just beginning their life journey together, as well as when things start feeling chaotic, overwhelming, or very distant. I have an office in Gig Harbor WA for couples nearby and I work virtually with couples from the greater Seattle area and all throughout WA state. I also pull from other great modalities and skills that help in close relationships, including the work of Terrence Real, Stan Tatkin, Esther Perel, and Mindfulness based Non-Violent Communication. I also offer half day or day long intensives to focus specifically on learning the most important tools and skills for improving communication and connection. For couples visiting from out of town, I also offer a retreat type option that allows you to stay in a beautiful, modern tiny home on a mini farm/forested setting while learning new relationship skills, as well as guidance for mind/body practices like yoga, meditation, gardening, and ecotherapy. I also work with individuals when one person in the relationship is not ready to start couples counseling, in order to work toward couples therapy or altering relationship dynamics individually.

I, myself, have been married for 14 years with children, and can relate to the messy reality of challenges and joys of building a life with another person. I feel strongly that our relationships can be the biggest challenge and opportunity for growth and greater meaning for our lives and changing generational family patterns for our kids.
