Welcome to couple's therapy! I find great satisfaction in walking beside couples and meeting them in the midst of life's challenges. I consider it a privilege to enter into the sacred space beside partners and help them to reconnect, repair, and grow their love into a more satisfying relationship. Whether you are just starting out in your relationship, recently engaged, newly married or living together, or you have been in your love relationship for decades, my experience, training, and knowledge make it possible for me to join couples in the work of relationships at any point on life's journey.
My lovely wife and I are in our third decade of marriage. The Gottman Method and the Gottmans' love relationship principles have played a vital part in our marriage and parenting. This means that I am a therapist that practices the exact same skills that I have the privilege of sharing with you. When we experience our deepest lows and highest highs in life with the one with whom we have partnered to create a lifelong love relationship, we become more secure in ourselves and we are enabled to accomplish our dreams. I hope to support you in realizing your dreams for your relationships.
The key underpinnings of my therapeutic approach are Attachment Theory, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I utilize the methods of Drs. John and Julie Gottman, Sue Johnson, Marsha Linehan, and a variety of mindfulness teachers, including Thupten Jingpa. I am deeply grateful for the training I have received and the chance to learn from the Gottman's and others who help couples to move from distress and disconnection to hope, connection, and a relationship that they love!
