Jani is a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, with Gottman Level 3. With Dr Don Wyatt PhD (Level 2), she offers Gottman Therapy. She also provides individual psychotherapy.
We work with you to create a healthy, respectful and loving relationship by up-skilling you both. We support you to build genuine relationship connection with effective evidenced based methods from professional and our broad life experience. Whether you are preparing for marriage or have been together for many years our approach is to build your skills. We support you both in developing your connection. Changing unhealthy conflict styles can become emotionally intelligent, listening and tolerant styles. We teach conflict avoidant couples to feel safe to have conflict. And volatile couples to regulate emotions and fight with respect. With optimism, understanding and hope even betrayal can be managed and repaired. We know broken trust hurts and that trust restoration takes time. We can show you how to work on effective repair. Our aim is to help you build or rebuild a sustainable, long term bond. We encourage work on emotional availability, intimacy, sexual and communication challenges. All are approached with discretion, non judgement, acceptance, sometimes humour and support. We promote unconditional, loving kindness. Great relationships are built over time with commitment.
Jani trained in the US with Drs Julie Schwartz Gottman and John Gottman Level 3, Drs Don and Carrie Cole Levels 1 & 2. In Australia we both trained in Treating Affairs and Trauma and IPA with Drs Don and Carrie Cole.

We travel while working online sometimes and have visited online clients/supervisees for in person sessions. We're grandparents to twins and single children, step parents and soul mates with a fascination and passion for marriage and relationships internationally.
