About

I am a family therapist having a successful practice for Thirty years. I am disciplined and curious about effective therapy practice. I was drawn to the Gottman method due to the research and long years of studying that occurred at the Gottman Institute. I have a very gentle eclectic approach using directives with focus on attachment and kind humor when appropriate. I taught at Washington University for 25 years and supervise other therapists in their professional development and licensure.

I have a Masters degree with 6 years post training in family therapy and my overriding philosophy is based on the strength and resilience my clients have while helping them regain and rebuild their strengths within their life challenges.

I am involved with the community commited to volunteer work in Art and in Music. My clients are very diverse and include minority groups.

My specialty areas are in couples, families and individuals who are experiencing life stressors-grief-loss-affairs-conflict-trauma-PTSD-Mood and anxiety disorders-cross cultural issues-gender issues-substance abuse-in fact most areas that adults and children struggle with in their lives.
