As a Certified Gottman Therapist, my style is to assess your needs, develop a treatment plan that will move you forward with your goals. I commit to building a relationship with you that will support your growth, healing, and competency. I will help you learn the skills you need to have success in this process. Couples that work with me describe me as a very warm, welcoming and comfortable therapist. I have an ability to create safe environment to discuss difficult emotional issues. Couples seeking a deeper connection in their relationship with their partner need to learn how to speak about and listen to their partner's dreams, inner world, and viewpoint. Often couples feel a sense of disconnection and distance from their partner, who was once their friend and admirer. Couples also want to stop feeling stuck in the same cycles of arguing and miscommunication. They want to start resolving problems and work towards compromise with each other. They want their dreams to come true and create a sense of shared meaning together. If you have lost your partner's love map, I am here to help you find it. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with couples, families, individuals and children. I have experience treating abuse, trauma, mental illness, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. I have experience working in military and community programs. I have been in private practice since 2003 and have recently added telehealth services to my practice.
