About
I offer online and in-person couples therapy to anyone defining themselves as a couple, married or not, and I have experience working with gay and lesbian couples. I assist couples in crises of any kind, whether they are recovering from an affair, have issues communicating, feel unappreciated or lonley in the relationship, or find themselves constantly arguing, to name only a few. I also teach workshops to expectant parents to prepare them for the emotional turmoil that comes after a baby is born, especially in regards to their relationship. My style is interactive and goal-oriented, and I encourage back- and-forth conversations.
As a European living and working in New York, I feel culture plays a signigicant role in how we address and ultimately resolve emotional concerns. I have enjoyed working with a very international group of clients with different economic backgrounds, professional experiences and and different sexual orientations. I am passionate about expanding my skills as a therapist and I attend numerous trainings on individual, couples, and sex therapy. I am especially interested in the role of preventive services in the mental health field. The idea of teaching workshops to expectant parents was born out of that interest. I offer therapy in either English or German.
