Mr. Dagenhart's approach is to view each individual, couple, and family as being unique. Even if the problem or disorder is the same. A therapist uses a model to conceptualize problems and determine how to resolve them, or at least to manage them more effectively. Mr. Dagenhart believes that health and wellness comes from treating the whole person. Therefore, he seeks to integrate emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions into the healing process. Mr. Dagenhart will choose a model that he believes fits best with your unique situation, personality, and level of comfort. Working together, you and Mr. Dagenhart will tailor your treatment to your uniqueness while exploring inner resources towards the development of practical skills. You will examine what is working in your life and expand on those skills you already have. You will also explore how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are linked together. You will create your own personal therapy road map. It is your choice to follow it. Your therapy time is reserved specifically for you, however your therapeutic process is not limited to your time in the office. Goal development and problem focused homework exercises are techniques that allow you to control the destination of your therapeutic experience both in and outside of therapy. Mr. Dagenhart has a special interest in couples and sex therapy, and utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, including the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in his work.
