When we think of couples, we must understand the intersubjective space they create between them. Something in this invisible space may not be working. We call this the mechanical issues of a couple. In therapy with me, we will map out the structural and mechanical issues, put your relationship back in place, and determine if this relationship makes you feel loved in the way you want to be loved. It's not about what we do or how we behave in a relationship - it goes deeper than that. The real issues are how we are with each other and how we relate. We are responsible for the emotional state of our partner/spouse, and they are responsible for ours.
