We all have challenges in life, but when those challenges become overwhelming, it's nice to know that you don't have to go the journey alone. I consider it a tremendous privilege to be part of your journey. I provide a safe, supportive environment where you can openly share about what you're going through. Together, we work to find solutions to your problem. Often, our work will yield fresh insights, new learning about yourself, and helpful implications for the future.
I was attracted to the Gottman method because it is based on sound science, and it also makes so much intuitive sense. I find it to be a compassionate method that gets to the heart of the issues, helping couples to develop a deep understanding of each other. I love the fact that the method is so positively focused, not solely focusing on problems but also on positive activities, such as building friendship and establishing rituals of connection. The combination of deep understanding, positive activities, and other elements creates a solid foundation from which effective problem-solving and constructive compromise can flow. Since using the Gottman method with my couples, I have experienced more success and have felt more satisfaction in my work than ever before.
In addition to my couple work, I've had the privilege of helping people heal from a variety of individual challenges, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, job stress, childhood abuse and PSTD. I also enjoy doing personality and career assessment, as well as helping with the unique challenges of creative artists.
My treatment Modalities (in addition to Gottman method) include Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and Christian Therapy.
