I’m Justin Pere, a Certified Gottman Therapist (CGT), AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST), and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 22+ years of experience helping couples repair conflict, rebuild emotional safety, and feel close again. I offer couples, marriage, premarital, and sex therapy in Seattle and via secure telehealth throughout Washington.

My work is especially focused on communication patterns, emotional intimacy, sexual connection, mismatched desire, low/no sex, betrayal repair, and the painful sense that you’ve become roommates instead of partners. I help couples understand what keeps going wrong beneath the argument and build practical tools for talking, repairing, and reconnecting in ways that last.

Because I’m also a Certified Sex Therapist, I bring a more direct and thoughtful lens to sexual concerns than many couples therapists are trained to provide. The Gottman Institute has also asked me to consult on sex and sexuality topics, reflecting my experience integrating this perspective into Gottman-based couples work.

I founded Clarity Counseling Seattle, a group practice of eight relationship therapists. Many of us are trained in the Gottman Method; others also use evidence-based approaches such as EFT, which pairs well with Gottman work. What unites our team is deep care, clinical skill, and a practical commitment to helping couples reduce conflict, increase connection, and communicate more clearly.
