About

Are you frustrated in your relationship? Do you seem to have the same arguments? Are you tired of making improvements that don’t last? Has the ability to give benefit of the doubt disappeared? If your partner tells you things aren’t good, pay attention! I can help.

I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist and working with couples is my primary focus. Since 2000, I have been helping couples build stronger relationships by increasing intimacy, respect, affection, trust, and conflict management. I work with all couples: new couples, blended families, same sex couples, and couples who have been together for over 20 years.

In 90-minute sessions there is time to learn how to dialogue about perpetual problems, work on solvable problems, and focus on strengths. You will learn healthy ways to resolve conflict, improve your communication skills, build trust, recover from hurts, and build a strong foundation for a lasting relationship.

In pre-marital counseling, I help couples build a strong foundation of communication, honesty, and realistic expectations. Partners gain understanding about how life experiences they bring to the marriage will incorporate into a healthy long-term relationship.

If you or your spouse are considering divorce but are not completely sure that’s the best path, Discernment Counseling is designed for you. It’s a chance to slow down, take a breath, and look at your options for your marriage. In up to 5 sessions, I will guide you through discussions that help you decide whether to try to restore your marriage to health, move toward divorce, or maintain status quo and decide later. The goal is for you to gain clarity and confidence about a direction, based on a deeper understanding of your relationship and its possibilities for the future.
