About

Are you and your partner always fighting? Does your relationship just feel "stuck" or just like you are roommates - not romantic partners? Do the two of your avoid talking about things that are important or find that conflict spirals out of control? Does your partner just not understand your perspective?

I offer individual and couples therapy (online only) to adults who are feeling stuck, or overwhelmed, or dissatisfied in Ohio, Connecticut, and 38 other states (physical office in PA only)

As a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist and licensed clinical psychologist (PhD) , I have helped a lot of couples uncover and express their loving feelings for one another, clarify and respectfully express their own desires and needs, & hear, validate and respond to those of their partner. I have taught couples to use effective Gottman strategies to help them reach a mutually satisfying resolution to difficult challenges using respectful communication. I have taught them tools which improved their intimacy, communication, conflict resolution, and working a team.

I have also used my 20+ years’ experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, to help individual adults alleviate their distress due to depression; anxiety, including general anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks and panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, anxiety about illness and health, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD), and concerns about eating and weight (bulimia, bingeing, etc) among other difficulties.

Using my training from leading experts at top US programs (the Universities of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Washington and Oxford (webinar)), including the successful by the Gottman Institute for Gottman Couples therapy, I help clients attain their goals.

I am happy to provide you with more information about the service I offer if you contact me at 267-368-2678 between 10AM and 7PM or email me at kathryneangellphd@gmail.com.
